This is a fully remote position, based from your home, offering the flexibility of both full-time and part-time opportunities. You'll play a key role in supporting national security, and your active Top-Secret Clearance will help make a difference in this important field.

What You'll Do
As an Entry-Level Background Field Investigator, you will conduct federal background investigations, preparing detailed reports in accordance with Federal Investigative Standards and agency regulations. You'll work on diverse cases in your geographic area, which means you'll travel to various places of employment, residences, and educational institutions. Each day brings a new challenge, and you'll use your investigative skills to ensure all reports meet federal requirements.

About You
We're looking for someone with a unique blend of skills. You should be proficient in conducting in-person and remote interviews to gather information about individuals' backgrounds, reviewing records, and writing detailed reports. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet strict timelines are essential to your success.

To excel in this role, you should:

Hold a Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with the ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
Be equipped to work from home with high-speed internet and a fax line (a government-provided laptop will be supplied).
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as you'll produce detailed investigative reports and engage with diverse individuals and agencies.
Be comfortable traveling within your geographic area to conduct investigations.
Additional requirements include completing the National Training Standards course, meeting production metrics, and ensuring high-quality reports are submitted in a timely manner.
