Position Summary:
The Clinical Director is responsible for leading the development of administrative, therapeutic, and operational aspects of clinical programs and services at Samaritan Center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and accessible services to clients and the community.
Essential Functions:
- Clinical Leadership
- Leads development of clinical procedures and coordinates implementation of new policies.
- Develops and implements clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and operational performance.
- Manages process for gathering data for outcome measures, no-show rate, client retention, etc.
- Participates in therapist interview process and provides clinically based orientation for new clinicians.
- Collaborates with Executive Director and Marketing Manager to develop resources and materials for promotion of clinical services.
- Supervision & Training
- Leads Clinical Cabinet, working in collaboration with team leads to develop compliant and ethical clinical procedures for the center.
- Provides clinical supervision, training, and professional development for clinical residents and interns.
- Coordinates additional supervision to ensure interns and residents are receiving relevant supervision for desired degree/credentials.
- Provides direct supervision to Client Services Team, leading efforts to create positive client experience in areas such as intake, scheduling, paperwork, and insurance/billing procedures.
- Leads Clinical Administrative meetings in collaboration with Client Service Manager to update clinical staff on current policies and procedures
- Leads therapist annual review process to assess performance and identify projected clinical activity for following year.
- Clinical Services
- Provides an average of 5 – 10 counseling sessions per week.
- Maintains clinical records within the timeframe as outlined in the Center policies and procedures.
- Maintains premium hours on clinician schedule as outlined in offer letter and relevant to populations served.

- Interpersonal Excellence: Comfortable in one-on-one or group settings, excellent communication skills, and ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Leadership & Coaching: Capacity to lead, coach, and coordinate in order to engage the clinical team and facilitate solutions that benefit clients and the organization.
- Organizational Skills: Presents with well-organized approach coupled with experience in planning and designing projects and policies.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills are a prerequisite, ensuring smooth navigation of necessary tools and platforms.
Education and/or Other Requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent
- Licensure: A licensed Psychologist (PsyD or PhD), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Clinical Experience: 5+ years working as a therapist offering individual counseling services
- Administration: 2+ years experience working in supervisor/management role including but not limited to intern/resident supervision, clinical policy & procedure development, and building a culture of learning and development (preferred).
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the Lancaster County area (preferred).
