Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who is responsible for assisting the CNO to provide unit/department based nursing education, orientation, and on-boarding; applies expert knowledge to act as a role model and leader for quality nursing care; guides all nursing staff on the care of patients within the specific patient population; ensures quality and cost-effective education and care delivery outcomes; utilizes evidenced-based research and guidelines, and participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Coordinates with HR to prepare and institute NEO and annual competency trainings; documenting accordingly, organizing paperwork and ensures filing and maintenance of training records. Tracks staff competency to ensure compliance of all staff. Monitors and utilizes on-line learning system HealthStream.  Assumes a lead role in utilizing and growing the use of HealthStream tool. Collaborates with Department Directors to design facility-wide programs to improve quality of care and employee performance through the development of staff knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• One-year clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population preferred, 2 years of experience as a nurse educator preferred.
• Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a registered nurse.
• Prefer knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing principles, working knowledge of crisis and behavior management.
