Patrol Officer Examination Announcement

Salary:

Starting Step 1: $73,905.00
Step 6: $107,249.00

Minimum Qualifications:

60 semester college credit hours from an accredited institution, or an associate's degree, by the application deadline. The requirement may be waived if:
The applicant has served 24 months of honorable active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces with no dishonorable discharge.
The applicant has served 180 days of active duty in U.S. Armed Forces combat duty recognized by the Department of Defense, with no dishonorable discharge.
U.S. residency.
Age: 20 to under 35 at the time of the written exam; must be 21 by appointment unless otherwise specified by regulations.
No felony convictions.
Residency in Illinois by the date of hire.
Testing Requirements:

Applicants must complete a written examination through National Testing Network (NTN).
All required documents must be submitted, including:
Signed consent and release form.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license (both sides).
Birth record to verify citizenship/residency.
A valid POWER test card issued by a licensed agency within six months of the oral interview is required.
