Job Description

Join a leading chemical manufacturing company as a Food Safety Quality Control Analyst. This role is crucial in ensuring the consistent quality of production output. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products, and will work closely with the SQF Practitioner to maintain the SQF system, emphasizing food safety and quality.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive Quality Control testing including Specific Gravity, Gas Chromatography, Karl Fischer, FTIR, and UV-Vis instrumentation.
  
• Update and validate analytical procedures to meet QC needs and ensure accurate data entry into the Laboratory Information Management system.
  
• Support production activities concerning quality and manage third-party safety/quality audit certifications.
  
• Implement, maintain, and review the SQF system, ensuring compliance with the SQF code.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate Degree or BS in Science or equivalent.
  
• Experience: 1-2 years in a lab setting, with a strong background in QA/QC.
  
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  

Skills:

• Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
  
• Solid understanding of quality terminology and procedures.
  
• Experience with testing equipment and analytical techniques.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and adept at managing deadlines.
  

Work Environment:

• Laboratory and Warehouse settings with standard physical demands including sitting, standing, and keyboarding.
  
• Requires clear near visual acuity and effective verbal communication skills.
  

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit and stand as needed, engage in keyboarding, and communicate effectively.
  
• Good hearing ability to understand and distinguish speech.
