You will spend your days providing joy, conversation, friendship and helping our clients to keep their homes tidy and dignified. There will be significant housekeeping involved. Homemaker Job Description Preferred Care at Home of Champlain Valley is currently seeking a Homemaker for our location in Montpelier, Vermont. The position offers a competitive compensation of $22.00 per hour and weekly pay. Description of the Role As a Homemaker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to individuals within their own homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their daily activities and ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being. This may include helping with personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and companionship. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing
• Remind clients to take medication and assist with medication management
• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient nature
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Reliable transportation
• Must pass a thorough background check

• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Shopping,running errands
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients on outings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and agency staff.

HOMEMAKER: Duties for homemakers could include Vacuuming/Sweep Floors, Dusting, Wet mop Floors, Care of Bathroom, Making Beds, Changing Linens, Clean Kitchen, Wash Dishes, Meal Planning & Preparation and Empty Trash. Clean Refrigerator, Laundry, Grocery Shopping COMPANION: Duties for companions could include supervision/Monitor of Activities. Assist with Phone calls/ communication, Read and Socialization. Escort to Recreational Activity, accompany to Appt. (Medical, Business), Accompany to Walk.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
