Job Description

Fire Protection Tester

Location: Covering Northern VA to MD
Experience: 3-5 years in fire protection
License: Valid driver’s license; ability to get MD and VA security tech licenses

What You’ll Do:

• Test fire alarm systems (fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, tamper valves, etc.).
• Create system certification docs.
• Talk to customers about system status.
• Supervise assistant testers.
• Do minor equipment repairs.

Qualifications:

• Know fire protection equipment and systems such as Fire Alarms, Sprinkler Systems, Annunciators, etc.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA rules.
• Understand code books and building construction handbooks
• NICET I is preferable, but not required
• Security System knowledge such as Access Control, IP/CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems is a plus!
