Market Development Intern, North America

The Wärtsilä Energy Business – North America team has an opportunity for a Market Development Intern, North America

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the Growth and Development team with: (i) Technology comparison studies and market studies and (ii) participate in and provide support for our global market development activities with power system modelling (ii) ensure generation resource and model data integrity
• Conduct market analyses which support project and market development initiatives
• Participate actively in front-line market development by identifying key stakeholders and engaging in customer dialogues
• Support Market Development, Sales and Marketing with relevant information on markets and data for power system analysis and sales project screening
• Develop and maintain the financial models and feasibility calculation tools.

Requirements:

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in economics, finance, operations research, computer science, or other quantitatively focused discipline.
• Proficiency in  quantitative analysis and/or financial modeling (Python, Excel, financial tools/software).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and research skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Interest in energy, infrastructure, and sustainable development.
• Most important at this stage is that you are a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, interest in energy business
