Job Description

Location: NYC, NY

• Location: Must work in the NYC area (onsite position requires the applicant to commute or transfer to NYC).
• Experience: Must have prior working experience with NYC agencies.

This project involves providing full systems life cycle application development on various computer platforms. These platforms support critical functions such as client eligibility and recertification systems, employment/work engagement services, claims systems, and more. Periodic refinements are required to maintain applications at optimum service levels. This role supports the IT consulting needs of an expanding workload and ensures the project portfolio aligns with business requirements.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Initiate and implement testing processes.
• Identify user stories and translate them into test cases.
• Create a test cases vs. RTM matrix against user stories to support application development.
• Ensure application development adheres to quality assurance standards.
• Execute integration test cases covering all integration points with other applications.
• Coordinate defect triage calls with design and development teams.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

• Coordinate UAT test strategy and UAT test data.
• Conduct UAT defect triage calls with the UAT team.

Performance and Automation Testing:

• Assist the team with performance testing.
• Identify test automation scenarios.
• Facilitate post-production verification for various releases.

Management Reporting and Coordination:

• Analyze and document current systems and processes as implemented.
• Recommend improvements based on client feedback.
• Work directly with stakeholders, clients, designers, developers, and engineers to ensure applications are built to specifications and delivered on time.
• Manage QA team activities, including QA effort estimations, task allocations, creation of QA status JIRA dashboards, and reports.
• Facilitate QA sign-offs by ensuring the defined exit criteria are met.

• 4+ Years of experience with QA methodology and validations to ensure quality assurance control. Familiarity with all phases of SDLC and STLC, with testing experience in complex applications. Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.
• 4+ Years of expertise in Selenium WebDriver using the TestNG Java framework. Strong Java programming skills, including inheritance, concatenation, and OOPS concepts. Experience developing frameworks using the Page Object Model design pattern.
• 4+ Years of experience in testing middleware technologies, including web services (SOAP, REST) using SOAPUI. Proficiency in validating XML, XML Schema, and XML parsers. Experience with cross-browser testing (IE, Firefox, Chrome). Expertise in creating CSS selectors and XPath expressions. Proficiency in automating AJAX calls, child windows, and IFrames.
• 4+ Years of hands-on experience with TestNG for automation testing reports. Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration, job scheduling, and configuration. Extensive experience with GITLAB as a version control tool. Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter and LoadRunner.
